Each notebook contains between 60 and a hundred photographs by Bernard Plossu and an introductory text written by a critic or author. These are captured moments that between them make up wide-ranging themed series.

I was fascinated by this idea of producing notebooks of unpublished works on the major topics of this half century.

“As the years pass, a prolific photographer gradually creates themes without even realising it, without doing so deliberately. But he also creates series in a conscious manner because he needs to see and share the things that obsess him!

“I started to take photos when I was a boy and I devoted myself to it seriously in 1965. And I was fascinated by this idea of producing notebooks of unpublished works on the major topics of this half century.”

These were the words spoken by Plossu on the creation of this collection, which invites us to discover a time that may be recent but which has already disappeared.
The notebooks, sponsored by the ALMAYUDA FOUNDATION, are published by Yellow Now, a publishing house that is very receptive to photography.
